Congratulations to Sanam Emami, Associate Professor of Pottery, who gave a talk as part of a series through Harvard Ceramics: The Artist’s Studio Series. The series explores the questions, what leads an artist to work in clay? How does an artist develop their artistic voice and practice in clay? Eight multicultural contemporary artists and educators who use clay in ways that are functional, sculptural or performative will present their work through images or a brief demo and host Fabio J. Fernández will guide the discussion through a range of topics including access, mentorship, and community. Sanam shared that although there is a fee to register, she was able to get free access for AAH advanced pottery students for the series. If anyone is interested in either Sanam’s talk or one of the artists in the series, please email her directly for the access link.
