Erika Osborne, an associate professor in CSU’s Department of Art and Art History, spent the Fall 2019 semester in Mexico on a Fulbright Scholarship, studying forests and fire management on the Baja California peninsula. What she found is a much different situation than what we have in the United States.
Jennifer Brakefield (MFA, Painting, 2014) moved to Colorado from Maryland at the start of her MFA program at CSU. Her work focused on agriculture and industry and for her thesis, she completed a series of large paintings of the Feed and Grain building in Ault.
Forrest Gerke (BFA, Painting and BA, Art History 2008) is an artist, musician, and writer in New York City. His visual art focuses on the figure and he uses the body to express different concepts and to create images that people can relate to.
Alumni Sheila Dunn’s beautifully illustrates CSU’s land-grant mission through her paintings and was featured in the Source back in November.
Andrea Bagdon’s, video “Specter and Spectator“ was juried into the Graduate Student Screening at the 108th Annual College Art Association’s Conference from February 12th to February 14th, 2020 at Colombia College Chicago.
