Thank you for your inquiry into the Department of Art and Art History Digital Fabrication Lab. This is a small scale department-funded lab with the mission of serving students and curriculum offered within the Art & Art History Department. Our policies are currently being reviewed and updated, with new guidelines put in place starting spring 2017.

For the Fall 2016 semester, students not enrolled in the Dept. of Art & Art History will still be able to access our lab if their instructor has made arrangements with the Digital Fabrication Lab supervisor for them to do so. However, Art & Art History Department student demand and curriculum will take precedence over any appointments that are scheduled with students outside our department.

Moving Forward: Spring 2017

Given the increased need of the fabrication equipment to support the curriculum within The Department of Art and Art History, and the realistic capacity of this lab, we will only be able to accommodate our students.

Although it may seem we are closing our doors, we are working to develop opportunities for students not enrolled in our department to take courses that involve the use of our digital fabrication equipment in the future.
