Cicelia Ross-Gotta, a 2015 alumna of the CSU Department of Art and Art History, was recently featured in the Winter 2017 issue of Surface Design Journal for her piece I Love You, Are You Okay. The piece features upholstered chairs arranged around two artificial plants in the style of a waiting room. The plants have words from text messages embroidered onto the leaves by Ross-Gotta. Ross-Gotta got her BFA at CSU in sculpture, and worked for a few semesters in the fibers studio. After graduating from CSU she went on to the MFA program at University of Washington. Ross-Gotta’s piece I Love You, Are You Okay can be seen on page 47 of the magazine.
