In every class, you will have conversations with faculty and learn how to utilize your skills you’ve learned in class in your career.
As an elective, you can take ART 392: Undergrad Professional Practices Seminar which is a how-to, behind the scenes look at supporting yourself as an artist. Topics include strategic planning, statement, resume/CV building, networking, documenting work, gallery submissions, artwork installation and shipping practices, finances, and marketing.
You can also receive credit for internships. ART 487: Internship helps you understand how your classwork connects to job skills. Through a series of self-reflection exercises and creating a final portfolio, you will gain an understanding of how valuable your talents are to employers.
