Biography

Isabelle Pech is a French art historian who received a Masters degree in romance languages from the University of Oregon and a second Masters degree in art history from the Université Lumière Lyon 2, in France. She then specialized in 18th and 19th century French sculpture before joining the University of Sydney, where she taught a variety of classes on Western European Art. In Sydney, she also researched works in the University Art Collection in preparation for the Chau Chak Wing Museum and the exhibition Light and Darkness, opening in June 2021. When not teaching, Isabelle loves traveling, speaking foreign languages, practicing yoga, and going to live music shows.
