Ashley Gottlieb recently relocated to Fort Collins, CO and to pursue her MFA at Colorado State University (2026-2028), where she also teaches foundation-level art courses.

Currently, her work explores the translation of place from lived experiences into abstraction. She is interested in transforming memories, sensations, and experiences (usually those in nature) into images, visual forms, and spatial experiences.

Originally from Chicago, she received her B.A. in Communications from Knox College (2005) and has worked in event management and program administration at higher education and cultural institutions. Gottlieb discovered her affinity for art-making after moving to Reno in 2018, ultimately receiving an A.A. in Fine Arts from Truckee Meadows Community College (2022).

Since then, she has quickly developed her own artistic style and has exhibited work at the Superfine Art Fair in San Francisco, the Reno Tahoe International Art Show, Sierra Arts Gallery, Oats Park Art Center, Truckee Meadows Community College, the University of Nevada, Reno, and Washoe County Library Art Galleries, to name a few. She has also painted murals throughout Nevada, including Reno, Sparks, Fernley, Carson City, and Las Vegas.
