Artist Talk: September 22, 12 – 1 p.m.
Artist Reception: September 27, 1:30 – 4 p.m.

What happens to an artist’s path after graduation and where does it cross with others?

Intersecting Paths brings together CSU alumni Bethany Chambers, Chelsea Gilmore, Erik Wangsvick, and Alex Runge, four artists whose connections took shape not in the classroom, but through the Fort Collins creative community after leaving Colorado State.

Curated by Kim Ferrer, the exhibition explores the relationships, experiences, and creative communities that continue to shape an artist’s practice beyond college. Though the four artists attended CSU, they didn’t all know one another as students. Their paths crossed later as they became active in the local arts community, building creative and professional connections along the way.

Alongside finished works, Intersecting Paths offers a rare look inside each artist’s process through a selection of their sketchbooks. From early observations and experiments to ideas that eventually become finished pieces, the sketchbooks reveal the thinking, making, and exploration behind the work.

For students and visitors alike, the exhibition offers a glimpse into both sides of an artistic life: the work that reaches the gallery wall and the relationships, experiments, and ideas that help get it there.
