Perceived is Chase Meadors’ Capstone Exhibition to achieve their BFA through CSU. Isolation, surveillance, and ostracization are themes that this work focuses on. These themes emerged not only throughout my childhood and adolescence but are also fears and concerns I still carry around in my daily life. Music is step one to every project, letting it seep into my being as I work. I build up from armature, to base, to skin. This process follows a routine, but looks different depending on concept, sketches, notes, and materials. Meador’s work aims to create dialogue and have the viewer interact personally with the work. This event is open to the public and will have snacks and drinks. The exhibition is being hosted at Art Lab, 239 Linden St, Fort Collins, CO 80524. Reception is November 28th from 6pm – 9pm. The event is open November 28th – November 30th from 6pm to 10 pm.
