The Department of Art and Art History will be hosting our first ArtFest, a celebration of our community through creativity, collaboration, and experimentation. It is an opportunity to meet teachers, department staff members, and other art majors. Students will get to collaborate and explore across all of the concentrations and learn more about how they can engage with the CSU campus. Classes are suspended for the 14th and 15th to allow everyone to participate, have fun, and get to know one another.

On Tuesday, September 13th, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., there will be a kickoff party at the Gregory Allicar Museum of Art with food and a special welcome from Lynn Boland, director of the museum.

On Wednesday, September 14th from 10 a.m. to 2 pm., in the Visual Arts Building, there will be a variety of hands-on activities and demonstrations sponsored by each concentration where new students will have the opportunity to explore the building and what each concentration offers.

On Thursday, September 15th, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the Visual Arts Building, there will be a street fair and an open hang for everyone. Bring your work to share! There will be food-based art projects, a raffle, and tables where you can learn about study abroad programs, the Gregory Allicar Museum of Art, and student organizations and guilds.
